Plaster Finishes - Tier 1
Tier 1 pebble plaster interior finishes are INCLUDED in our standard pool builds. Pebble finishes are not only beautiful with the added color choices, but they are more durable than traditional white plasters.
Coping Choices
Oklahoma Flagstone
Oklahoma flagstone is a sandstone and you guessed it, it comes from Oklahoma. This stone is installed with a chipped edge and you can choose an organic, irregular pattern or larger solid stone pieces (slight upgrade). All stone is imperfect and will have varying qualities like pits, layers, organics, and fissures.
Pros: great warm tonal colors for a rustic vibe, and its cost effective
Cons: sandstone with layers and softer areas, requires sealing, natural variations in thickness with bumps and grooves.
Lueders Limestone
Lueders is also a flagstone and is quarried in Lueders, Texas. This stone is more dense than the above Oklahoma sandstone. It will also come with a chipped edge, but the stone is overall smoother than Oklahoma. Comes in a tan/buff or grey color. It does not have as much color variation as Oklahoma. All stone is imperfect and will have varying qualities like pits, layers, organics, and fissures.
Pros: beautiful HIll Country vibe, smoother than Oklahoma, more dense than sandstone
Cons: requires sealing maintenance and often shows moisture stains, not as dense as travertine.
Travertines - Farmhouse Favorite
Travertines are the Farmhouse Pools favorite as they are both beautiful, but also more durable than Oklahoma or Lueders. Choose between a bullnose classic edge or squared modern edge. There are a variety of thicknesses available, but the 2″ is preferred for pool coping. All stone is imperfect and will have varying qualities like pits, layers, organics, and fissures.
Pros: Luxury look and feel and more durable overtime than other stones
Cons: Can be slippery and we recommend sealing travertine too. It is more expensive than Oklahoma or Lueders.
BROOMED CONCRETE
Least expensive option. Broomed for traction and no color added. Does the job and can add a spray deck painted texture over it.
STAMPED ROCK TEXTURE CONCRETE
Farmhouse Favorite – ecomonical upgrade. Rock texture is stamped into concrete to give it a decorative look and also a texture for slip resistance. No color added option is most popular as it is a grey overall tone.
ROCK SALT FINISHED CONCRETE
Architectural more modern looking finish and also economical choice. Rock salt is used to create pitted, weathered, rustic look. No color added options is the most popular as itis a grey overall tone.
SPRAY DECK CONCRETE
Another Farmhouse Favorite – paint tinted coat is put on top of a broomed concrete base. This coat is textured to create a slip resistant and airy feel to walk on barefoot.
